Future Skills learning content for companies, universities and schools

"Future Skills are competences that allow individuals to solve complex problems in highly emergent contexts of action in a self-organised way and enable them to act (successfully). They are based on cognitive, motivational, volitional and social resources, are value-based and can be acquired in a learning process." (Ehlers, 2020)

The Future Skills Booster for students and Gen-Z

The Future Skills Booster by DayOff was originally launched as a collaborative project between the Center for Key Competencies (ZfS) of CAU Kiel and DayOff to enable students to training Future Skills alongside the academic curriculum.

With the gamified DayOff app, learners can train Future Skills daily in everyday life, or while studying, by participating in learning challenges. They learn through actually applying Future Skills. Standard content and the integrated assessment are based on a competency model developed by the ZfS, which includes a total of 13 Future Skills.

Of course, we also develop individualized content and assessments for the Future Skills Booster.

Why Future Skills?

Why Future Skills?

Why Future Skills?

In an era where constant change and technological disruption are the norm, Future Skills inevitably come to the forefront. These essential abilities enable individuals to act independently and efficiently in dynamic organizational and practical environments. Our current generation of students is entering a working world characterized by complexity, uncertainty, and continuous innovation.

To thrive in this complex setting, relying solely on specific technical knowledge is not an adequate solution. Continuous learning and the adaptation of one's own skills are of great importance. Key competencies such as analytical thinking, creativity, resilience, flexibility, agility, motivation, a commitment to lifelong learning, and proficiency in handling new technologies are imperative.

By incorporating Future Skills into or alongside their curricula, universities and schools ensure that their graduates are well-prepared for the many challenges their careers will offer in the future. Thus, they make a significant contribution to the development of a resilient and innovation-capable society.
